History
Our journal started from a collective love for rockets. Interstellar University Press saw the potential for a journal about Rocket Science and brought together several academics. In 2012, Prof. Carys White, Head of the Astrophysics Department at the University of Manchester, set out to join together Rocket Science experts from around the globe. Since then, world-leading scholars have been breaking barriers in modern research.
Our Values
Integrity = We value research and personal integrity in our papers, authors, and staff.
Curiosity = We strive to prioritise a curious perspective and keep an open-mind as we pioneer scholarly research.
Fairness = We have a double-blind peer-review system which prioritises un-biased research.
Appreciation = We ensure that we appreciate the work that our authors, readers, editors, and institutions put in to keep this journal running. We try to send out monthly rewards to our clients whenever we can to show our appreciation.
Our Beliefs
- Climate Action: At RSR, we believe we are all responsible in the mission to conserve and improve our earth's climate. Whilst we acknowledge our research often concerns matters that might damage the environment eg. rockets, our purpose is underlined by an effort to greenify widely used systems. Each paper is considered under our climate ethos and we ask authors to address the climate emergency within their work if it is relevant.
- Diversity: RSR promises to consider all articles, regardless of author race, sexuality, gender identity, disability, or any identity categories. We strive to be a fair and welcoming journal and encourage persons of all identities to work with us.
- AI: We ask all peer-reviewers, authors, and editors to prohibit the use of AI unless it is for translation or reasonable grammatical checks. If AI is used, we ask all parties to declare their use and reference within the article with the same referencing style.
